27 Jun I-130 Petition Approved for Same Sex Marriage
Our Philadelphia Immigration Lawyers received an approval of an I-130 Petition filed by a United States Citizen on behalf of his same-sex spouse who resides in Qatar. The couple had met in school while the foreign national was in the United States in F-1 status. USCIS approved the Petition within 4 months of the date of filing. In support of the I-130 Petition our attorneys provided evidence of the bona fide nature of their relationship including the United States Citizen’s Certificate of Embracing Islam evidencing his conversion to his spouse’s religion, substantial documentation showing the couple lived together during the time period the foreign national was in the United States in F-1 status, e-mails exchanged between the couple demonstrating their ongoing relationship, and family photographs. The case has now been forwarded to the National Visa Center to complete the immigrant visa processing.
