15 May PERM Case Approved following Audit
PERM Labor Certification approved following audit for bridge designer position requiring Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years bridge design experience. In response to the audit it was demonstrated that the job requirements, which exceeded the Specific Vocational Preparation level assigned to the occupation as shown in the O*Net Job Zone, arose from business necessity. In order to establish business necessity evidence was provided that the job duties and requirements bore a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of the employer’s business and were essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner.
